As DJ, producer and co-founder of Live-in Music, Robotwon has immersed himself in developing and promoting his telectro sound, a blend of Nu-Disco, Hard Electro, Techno and Rock. Currently he holds down residencies with London nights Under the Stairs and FFaction and has regularly played at institutions such as Matter, 333, The Key , Hidden, 93 Feet East, The Cross, Medicine Bar, the Bomb and Stealth playing alongside the likes of Phil Kieran, Kissy Sell Out, Hyper, Shitdisco, Mylo, Trash Fashion and Justin Robertson.
Playing a cut up hard electro, techno and rock and roll his sets involve either 2 x CDJ, 2 x Decks or on occasion Traktor DJ Pro enabling the layering and splicing of multiple tracks into true audio goodness. In combination with It’s Real! Robotwon also performs a full AV Live set showcasing his own productions in his own unique neon rocking, keyboard wielding, stage shaking style. He is also currently building a 18ft interactive robot installation/stage as part of the Roguebot team for the festival season.
The next few months sees Robotwon push forward with a hectic release schedule which started way back in July 2008 with ‘Sabre’ a twisting telectro monster that gained radio support from Radio 1 and Kiss and caused serious damage on the dance floor. This was followed up with Sure Thing and Clean Trigger released on Live-in Music. He will also be releasing his debut artist album later this year. Alongside his own material, Robotwon has been doing remix work for both Live-in Music and 1980 Recordings including re-cuts for People Get Real, GTRONIC and the Peacocks.
